Who Run The World? KAS!

10th March 23

The school has been celebrating recent successes in Cross Country running.

In the Upper School a group of students took part in the regional ISA competition and came home with great results. Head of Sport, Tom Franklin told us: “We’ve been blown away with the results of our cross country runners. At the ISA event in Abbots Langley I got to witness six of our students finish in the top ten and make it to nationals! Each race had on average 60-70 participants and KAS runners were consistently in a high position across the age groups.”

Results: Oliver F (4th), Elvis S (9th), Freddie T (7th), Tommy P (10th), Ellie L (5th) and Lola M (1st)!

Not to be left out, the Lower School also fielded a team the following day at an event run by Barnet Partnership for Sport. PE teacher Claire braved the cold to watch our smaller students smash this event! All students performed to an exceptional level and were competing against 40 or so participants from other schools. Most of our students made it in the top 15, with some cracking the top ten.

Results: Eugene (8th), Rosa (4th), Rachel (8th), Martino (7th), Boyd (7th), Rafi (5th) and Frieda (3rd).

We are lucky to have our fabulous field for students to practice on and access to the best cross country spot in London with the Heath on our doorstep. Sport is such an important part of school life and we’re proud to offer a range of sports so students can find one that suits them. From Cross Country to Boxing, Trampolining, Basketball, Badminton, Handball, Football, Netball, Hockey and more. Led by the passionate PE team and specialist coaches the school is going from sporting strength to strength.
