Pop Art Portraits – A Hit For Year 6

16th March 21

Walking past the Year 6 classrooms you can’t help but notice the bright and bold portraits covering one wall of Adele’s room. 6S have been busy looking at pop art and there are artworks inspired by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein creating a riot of colour.

The Lichtenstein-inspired portraits also feature bold descriptive words, which the children chose to describe themselves, and these relate back to the learning attributes which all our Lower School teaching is focused around.

The children also chose inspirational quotes to keep them going even on the tough days!

The pictures are a not only brilliantly observed, but also hugely positive and can’t fail to make you smile.
