U11s football squad success in ISA Sport tournament

On Friday 3rd May the King Alfred School U11 side headed north to take part in the ISA National five-a-side football tournament.
Following the successful third place the team secured at the regional tournament back in February, it was exciting to take part in the National finals.
The tournament took place at St. George’s Park, the England squad’s training ground in Burton-On-Trent. It was an early start for the team, leaving KAS at 6.30am, but it was worth it.
The indoor pitches were immaculate and the team showed great resilience and team work to come third overall after a nerve-jangling penalty shoot out.
