Frantic Assembly Workshop for GCSE Students

On Friday 15th September, GCSE Drama students in Year 10 and 11 took part in a four hour workshop with internationally renowned theatre company, Frantic Assembly.

The workshop was led by Steve Kirkham, who worked as one of the movement directors of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time in the West End. The workshop allowed students to develop the building blocks of telling a story physically. They explored various devising processes used by Frantic Assembly when working collaboratively and were taught skills to enhance their abilities in the areas of performance and movement.

It was wonderful to see how involved and focused our students were and indeed how their skills and confidence grew during the workshop. They now have a set of very clear skills that they can take away and use in their own work.
