Camps Bringing Students Together

28th September 22

At the start of the Autumn Term students in Year 7 and Year 12 headed off on camp. As entry points, where students join from other schools, camps are a great way to build bonds between a year group. They offer the chance to learn self-reliance, leadership and teamwork. We want children to experience something different from the rest of the school year and to take part in challenging outdoor activities.

Year 7 headed to Anglesey where they enjoyed a week of climbing, canyoning, canoeing and fun.

Camp offers new students the opportunity to meet other members of their year group who are studying different subjects to them but for all our Year 12s it’s a great way to begin two years of A level study. New student Isabel said, “It was a huge adrenaline rush and a great way to get to know staff and other students.”

They spent three days in Dorset where they enjoyed coasteering, climbing and campfires
