Artist Sayako Sugawara paid us a visit in the last week of term to run a workshop with Year 12 photographers on chemigrams.
Chemigrams are a creative and expressive process of using natural and photographic chemicals to act as mark making mediums and resists, which result in unpredictable collisions of colour and texture.
A large part of the workshop centered around how we can use more sustainable and responsible natural resources such as rosemary, mint and tea to make images, rather than more harmful, traditional photographic chemistry.
