Year 9 Boys Win ISA Football Tournament

Last week PE teacher Tom was up early in order to drive the Y9 boys football team to Nottingham to take part in the ISA Schools Tournament. It was a long drive but worth it when the boys not only won, but went the whole tournament unbeaten and without conceding a single goal!

Tom says: “The boys were incredible! It was total dominance. I’ve never ever seen a KAS side do this in the 7 years I’ve been here. They showed togetherness, resilience, tenacity and passion.” (Can you tell he’s proud of them?)

In the group stage they won all three of their matches against Pricethorpe College, Cundall Manor School and Bredon School. In the Cup semi-final they beat Reddam House 1-0 and then secured another 1-0 victory in the final over Scarisbrick Hall School and College.

Congratulations to the team (and their coach!)
