Each year we take up to 30 new external students into our Sixth Form (Year 12) from a range of other schools. Students are encouraged to attend one of two Sixth Form Open Events in the Autumn Term prior to entry. Tours of the school can also be arranged for those unable to join us at an Open Event.
In general, external applicants are required to achieve at least five GCSE passes at Grade 6 or above (as required by individual subjects) for entry into our A level courses. The specific GCSE requirements for entry are listed for each subject on the A level courses page.

A small number of bursaries are available for students joining the Sixth Form. For external applicants entry into Year 12 for 2026, completed bursary application forms (available via email) must be returned to the Director of Finance & Operations by Friday 7 November 2025.
