Our foyer, completed in 2018, was part of a long-term plan to create a state-of-the-art Theatre for the school. The final phase will provide:
new, flexible changing rooms
new, expanded technical box meaning students are able to work with technical team to learn to use lighting, sound and staging equipment to build these vital theatre skills
backstage space
integral, new lavatories within main theatre building
new storage facilities for our props, costumes and equipment
all spaces linked
Your gift will make a difference.

THE KING ALFRED SCHOOL SUPPORTER CHARTER
From its beginning, The King Alfred School has sought to offer an educational environment which allows pupils to develop their own strengths, looking at what is right for each individual child and allowing them to take ownership of their own learning. We nurture creative, curious and engaged students from a wide variety of backgrounds.
The King Alfred School welcomes support from Old Alfredians, current and past parents, individuals, foundations and organisations. We would be delighted to discuss ways in which relationships may be fostered with potential supporters across our KAS community and beyond.
The King Alfred School pledges to treat its supporters with the highest level of care and respect. The School has written this Supporter Charter to assure supporters of the integrity and accountability of its development programme.
While we are happy to receive gifts, which support a particular aspect of our work, the School cannot accept gifts when a condition of such acceptance would compromise the School’s autonomy, educational philosophy, academic freedom and priorities.
We will:
use your gifts carefully and responsibly
respect your wish to assign a gift to a particular aspect of our work
use unrestricted gifts for such purposes as the School judges will best advance its priorities promptly acknowledge your support
offer appropriate acknowledgment for your gift, and respect anonymity, if requested
keep you informed about the impact of your gift and about the School’s evolving needs and priorities
ensure that your personal details and donations are kept secure, and never share your personal data with other organisations, in line with current GDPR legislation
ensure that all our activities are open and fair, honest and legal
acknowledge any queries promptly
give access to the School’s most recent, published financial accounts
inform you whether those seeking gifts are volunteers or employees of the School
