The KING ALFRED ARTS FESTIVAL – Celebrating Our Rich Arts Culture

This year, the KAStonbury Arts Festival is bigger and better than ever, with a series of events culminating in our music festival on 7th July.  We’re raising money to develop the Phoenix Theatre and add an orchestra mezzanine for our musical performances.

Monday 4 June – Nina Conti and Friends.

  • The Comedy Store, Leicester Square, 19.30
  • Nina Conti, accompanied by friends, hosts an evening of ventriloquism and comedy. All money raised will go towards the Phoenix Theatre. £19.50 per ticket includes a £2 booking fee.

Wednesday 6 June – Soloists Concert

  • Drama Studio, 6.00 – 7.30pm, refreshment from 5.30pm
  • An opportunity to listen to our talented students perform.

Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 June – Grease

  • Phoenix Theatre, 7.00pm
  • Grease is the Word.
  • Come along to see the Middle School’s production of this classic musical. Not to be missed!

Friday 15 June – Informal concert

  • Drama Studio, 4.30 – 5.15pm
  • An opportunity to listen to our talented students perform.

Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 June – Year 3 and 4 Choir Recital

  • Lower School Hall, time to be confirmed
  • Join us to share in the beautiful music produced by this talented choir.

Wednesday 27 June – Songs with Reception

  • Phoenix Theatre, time to be confirmed
  • A chance to listen to the talented Reception students perform.

Wednesday 4th July – Storytelling workshop

  • Phoenix Theatre 14.00  – 17.00
  • Storytelling workshop with Sally Pomme Clayton for year 10 and 12 Drama students, followed by a sharing of work.

Thursday 5th July – Inside the Actors/ Writers Studio

  • Phoenix Theatre (19.00 – 21.00)
  • An evening of chat with actors and writers. (Participants to be confirmed).

Saturday 7 July – KAStonbury Music Festival

  • Manor Wood Site, 12.00 – 5.00pm
  • Following the huge success of last year, KAStonbury is back and bigger than ever.

Friday 6, Monday 9 – Wednesday 11 July – African drumming project

  • Phoenix Theatre, times to be confirmed
  • A cross-curricular project for all of year 9 comprising of music, puppetry and storytelling.
