Great results at the ISA National Athletics Competition

4th July 16

The King Alfred School was proud to send two students to compete at The Independent School Association’s National Athletics Competition in Birmingham last week.

Ethan, YR9 and Kitty, YR7 represented KAS at the national level. Having won their divisions on regional level, both athletes were up for the challenge that lay ahead of them. PE Teacher Sarah Quinn travelled with them to Birmingham for the day.

Ethan placed third, winning a bronze medal in long jump. He’d only ever tried the sport once before in the regionals, when he proved himself to be a natural in the event and won gold! Kitty placed 7th in her division, a strong finish among tough competition from students across the country.

Congratulations to both our athletes, Ethan and Kitty, on a tremendous accomplishment.
