KAS Performing Arts Department Teams up With Wac Arts

9th June 16

The King Alfred School Performing Arts Department is pleased to announce that it is teaming up with Wac Arts as part of a new partnership initiative.

KAS is privileged to be able to enter into a partnership with the dynamic and exciting Arts and Media based centre that is Wac Arts. In the coming months our students will be sharing work and learning opportunities as well as inviting WAC arts into our school to share our facilities. The sky’s the limit.

Wac Arts, a centre of excellence in Performing Arts & Media is based in Hampstead, just a stone’s throw from the school! For 37 years, Wac Arts has provided arts training, including summer programmes in Aerials, Music Production, Parkour, Performing Arts and Fencing and inclusive technology, a Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre (Degree Level) and an interactive programme for young people with disabilities.

Wac Arts has been home to thousands of talented young people, often from challenging backgrounds, and enables them to harness their extraordinary potential in a safe, fun and creative environment.

Among Wac Arts’ alumni are Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe nominees, Tony Award winners, stage and screen actors, directors, playwrights, jazz musicians, four Mercury and Mobo Award winners, plus many more!
