13th May 16
The first KAS Duke of Edinburgh expedition to the New Forest was a great success. Over the weekend of May 6-8, KAS DofE students were completely self-sufficient as they trekked and camped in the New Forest.
Their hike covered just short of a marathon in distance! They did themselves proud carrying full packs through the forest in 25 degree heat with difficult navigation.
Though there was a period where they were all ‘geographically challenged’ (completely lost!) everyone came through in excellent spirits and redeemed themselves in the afternoon.
