War Horse Author Michael Morpurgo to Visit KAS

The King Alfred School is thrilled to announce that author and play write Michael Morpurgo will visit Monday 18 April. Michael is author of War Horse, which you will know from the moving National Theatre production of the story.

Michael served as Children’s Laureate from 2003-2005. His work has won and been nominated for a plethora of literary awards including the Carnegie Medal, Costa Children’s Book Prize, and Blue Peter Book Book Award–he’s also a winner in our books.

Michael also runs a program called Farms for City Children, which introduces urban youth to rural life at his farms in Devon, Pembrokeshire, and Gloucestershire. 

Lower School and YR7 students will have a chance to meet and hear from Michael when he visits KAS.
