Since its formation in 1898 King Alfred School has been open to both sexes, a wide ability range and those of any faith or none. It is committed to equality of opportunity for all current and prospective members of the KAS community and values the contribution of each one. The commitment applies to both pastoral and educational activities and we seek to give all KAS students access to the curriculum. The school complies with equality legislation.
