Comment
In Year 10, 23 students took the Geography DME module, of which 26% obtained grades A*-A and 74% A*-C. Overall the module results for Year 10 Science were also very good; 58% obtained A*-A, and 98% A*-C.
The Year 11 GCSE students had a very successful year, 96% of whom obtained five or more passes at grades A*-C.
93% of the examinations were passed with grades A*-C compared to the national average of 67.1% Using the number of A*-A grades as a measure (51.6%), there were some very strong results in a number of individual subjects.
In Year 12, 60.8% of AS subjects were passed with A or B grades and the overall pass rate for grades A-E was 97.7%.
Year 13 had a very successful year, with 100% of the students obtaining grades A-E, compared to the national average of 97.5%. Of all the examinations 42.2% were grade A, very much higher than the national average of 26.7%. Eleven students took Advanced Extension Award exams in English or History, with six Distinctions and two Merits.
The results continue to reflect positively the effort of the students and the commitment of the teachers.
